Cooking lessons and English

Now that Easter Holidays are here, you may have some free time for cooking! In one of our classes we were exchanging some recipes and I want to share them with you now. Students translated one easy recipe to English and now is time to put them in practise. Please, send to me the photos of the recipes you try to post them and/ or write any comments.

Ahora que las vacaciones de Pascua están aquí, puede que tengáis algo de tiempo libre para cocinar! En una de nuestras clases intercambiamos algunas recetas y quiero compartirlas con vosotros ahora. Los alumnos tradujeron una receta fácil al inglés y ahora es el momento de ponerlo en práctica. Por favor, enviarme las fotos de las que hagáis y las cuelgo aquí y/ o escribir cualquier comentario al respecto.

                                             

CHEESE CAKE (1) by Gloria
Ingredients:
500 gr fress cheese
3 cream yogurts
50 gr sieved flour
10 spoonfuls of sugar
Steps:
1. Whip the eggs and add the rest of the ingredients. Beat everything.
2. Put the mixture in a mould smeared with sugar syrup into the oven. 175º C, 20- 30 minutes.

CHEESE CAKE (2) by Chiqui
Ingredients:
1 tub of cream cheese
3 eggs
1 small can of condensed milk
2 slices of (sandwich) bread
Steps:
1. Mix and beat all the ingredients
2. Smear a mould with sugar syrup and put the mixture into it.
3. Put it into the oven in the bain Marie, 150º C, 20 minutes aprox.

YOGURT SPONGE CAKE by Angelines
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 lemon flavoured yogurt
1 yogurt pot of sugar
1 yogurt pot of sunflower oil
2 yogurt pots of flour
1 bag of baking powder
grated zest of a lemon
Steps:
1. Mix and beat all the ingredients.
2. Smear the mould with oil and add the mixture.
3. Put it into the oven for 30 minutres aprox. 170 ºC

Angeline’s tip: Use a plain yoghurt and add tangarine juice and grated zest. I did it and it was delicious!!

CHOCOLATE CAKE by Carmen
Ingredients:
200 gr chocolate fondant
100 gr sugar
1 cup of cream
150 gr ground walnuts
3 eggs
Steps:
1. Melt 100 gr of chocolate  with cream in the microwave (2 minutes, 50 % temperature)
2. Beat 3 yolks with half of the sugar
3. Mix steps 1 and 2 and add walnuts
4. Beat egg whites to form peaks with the rest of the sugar and add it to the mixture.
5. Smear a mould with butter and pour the mixture.
6. Bake it in the microwave 6 minutes at highest temperature.
7. Take the cake out of the mould, melt the rest of the chocolate and cover the cake with it. Decorate with nuts.

CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE by Pilar
Ingredients:
200 gr powdered chocolate
200 gr of sugar
200 gr of flour
4 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sunflower oil
1 bag of baking powder
Steps:
1. Mix all the ingredients well little by little.
2. Pour the mixture into a silicone mould.
3. Bake it in the microwave, 750 w, 7 minutes.

He probado con la receta de Pilar y me ha quedado como un pudding de chocolate (creo que porque usé chocolate a la taza) Aquí os dejo la foto… menos mal que después la decoré… Riquísimo y muy divertido!
Volveré a intentarlo con la mitad de los ingredientes (como así me ha recomendado Pilar)

    I cooked Pillar’s recipe with «chocolate a la taza» and the result is like a chocolate pudding!! Delicisious. I’ll put a picture soon.
